    This deck of 48 cards of American Paintings was issued by the Smithsonian Institute as educational Knowledge Cards.  Each card has a beautifully reproduced image of an American painting on one side and information about the painter and subject on the back.  Each card measures 4" x 3 1/4". A beautiful mini course in American art.  Not playing cards, so in near mint condition.  (Please forgive the glare.)
