LINEA. Screenplay by John Sayles. 104 pp. Undated. Bradbound in cream Writers and Artists Agency wrappers. This is a rare early Sayles script circa the late 1970s or early 1980s. Though the script is
titled LINEA Sayles filmed it as LIANNA in 1983. The title change is reflected in the names of the main character, who is referred to as "Linea" throughout this draft.
This copy of the script comes from the estate of TV producer Blue Andre, who was friends with John Sayles for decades and may have worked with him.
THIS IS AN ORIGINAL COPY OF THE SCRIPT MADE FOR THE PRODUCTION. IT IS NOT A LATER REPRODUCTION OF ANY KIND.
CONDITION: Overall good with signs of handling and wear.
"Linea" and "J. Sayles" are written on the spine in marker. The wrappers show some toning (especially near the spine), some smudges from handling, and two small areas on the front wrapper where it appears Scotch tape was removed. There is a crease on the pages near the spine where the script was opened and read. Overall, it looks ok. There appear to be no annotations.
