Firstly, a little info on this Treble Booster. For starters, the components are the same components used for the builds of many KAT Treble Booster’s and Greg Fryer Sound TB Touring, Deluxe and Plus Treble Boosters that Brian May is still using to this day. The case is the same powder-coated, silk-screened folded steel unit used for the Treble Booster Touring, Deluxe and Plus, so rugged, durable and yet, attractive at a fraction of the cost of the Fryer pedals. This pedal uses a 9 volt battery and has no by-pass switch but if you're looking for Brian May's sound, you won't want to by-pass it anyway!
Sound-wise, this Treble Booster has been developed to emulate the late 1970's to early 1980’s era of Queen Brian May’s tone with approximately 33dB of gain, so think Queen from the late 70’s Think "Sheer Heart Attack" "We Will Rock You". Think Wembley… Think Live Aid!!
