Description
You are purchasing the script Frank Sinatra Jr. is holding in the photograph with Jack Benny as well as a second draft. It is rare such a complete set of historic early television documents is offered in one package. Included here are two complete drafts of original scripts owned and used by 18-year-old Frank Sinatra, Jr., for his network debut on The Jack Benny Show which aired Tuesday, October 2, 1962 in the 13th Season of Benny's show. Lots of goodies accompany the scriptsincluding the original publicity photo of Jack and Frank Jr., with Sinatra holding this very script draft in his hands for rehearsal.
The AP Wire photo is dated. The two versions of the script (first version is on green pages, second on yellow) was obtained from Preston & Co., the trustee responsible for Mr. Sinatra's estate (letter of authentication is included). The photo was obtained from Historic Images. Frank's name is written in pencil on the script which is the second revision. It also appears in pencil on the rehearsal/shooting schedule. Both look to be Mr. Sinatra's signatures and an autographed head and shoulder photo taken off internet (photocopy is included), is shown for buyer's comparison (note the letter "F" similarity). Interestingly, the second script revision includes a Tag (on salmon colored paper) in which Frank explains to Jack that he wants to be judged on his own individuality and not compared to his father. This is true television history for the earnest collector.
