    Description

Frick Company Incorporated Eclipse Machinery, General Catalogue, Fifty-Eight Year 1910
, originally published by the Frick Company, Waynesboro, Penn. Reprinted in 2009 by Engineers & Engines, Bethlehem, MD. 8¼ x 9½ paperback, 64 pages.
Please note that this is a photoduplicated reproduction of the original
. The accompanying images were scanned from a reprint, not the original. The title pages states that Frick is “Manufacturers “Eclipse” Traction and Portable Engines, Threshers, Saw Mills, Small Stationary Engines, and Steam Boilers.”
This crisp and clean reproduction of what must be a spotless Frick 1910 General Catalog is largely devoted to Frick’s steam traction engines. To be more precise, the first 18 pages deal with Frick steam engines, except page 16, which is devoted to the “Improved Eclipse Water Wagon.”
Pages 19 to 31 provide details and pictures of Frick’s “Landis Eclipse Thresher.”
Pages 32 to 37 return to Frick steam equipment – the Frick portable steam engines.
Pages 38 to 47 are devoted to Frick saw mills and saw mill accessories, with one excellent photo showing a No. 1 Sawmill in operation.
The saw mills listed and illustrated are the company’s No. 0 Pony Saw Mill; Eclipe No. 01 Saw Mill; Improved No. 1 Saw Mill; and Eclipse Double Circular Saw Mill.
The last page has a great picture of a “Two-Ton Refrigerating Machine – Piston Valve Engine Attached.” This is of exceptional historical interest, because the Frick facilities, still located in Waynesboro, are now devoted entirely to the manufacture of refrigeration machinery.
