From the collection of a well known Hollywood-based movie historian, collector, author, archivist and intimate of the late, great Hal Roach, comes this holy grail item for Roach fans - An original Dialogue Cutting Continuity to the classic Hal Roach short, THE CARETAKER'S DAUGHTER. Much like a script, a Dialogue Cutting Continuity features all the dialogue, shot descriptions and titles included in the film. This information would be compiled by the Film Editor (in this case Bert Jordan) after he cut the film as a record of all the shots for other key departments at the studio and for filing as proof of content with the U.S. Copyright office (often in lieu of sending an actual print of the film). This is one of the Studio file copies direct from the offices of Hal Roach. Short directed by Lloyd French stars Claudia Dell, Grace Hayle, Billy Gilbert and Eddie Foy Jr. Continuity is dated March 10, 1934 and short is noted as #B-6. Continuity is fully complete running 21 pages with all 202 shots detailed. Paper quality is very good with very minor age or edge wear (as per photos) and generally free of any notable rips, tears, creases, stains or blemishes.
