About the Piccolo Interactive Discovery Center:
Piccolo is an interactive electronic game that uses digitized sound and specially created, brightly colored books. Children hear words and sounds and work with various beginning skills. A point-and press "Piccolo pen" is used to get sounds associated with the pictures, etc., in the book.
Slots store three of the cartridges (one accompanies each book) in the top of one side; an on/off switch and speaker are found on the other side. The Piccolo pen fits into a slot at the top of the left side. The pen is yellow with a white tip, attached to Piccolo with a yellow cord. It is a good size for little hands. Both Piccolo and the books that are purchased separately are solid and should hold up well.
